What to expect

Worship Service

One thing that is certain in 2020, you can expect things to change.  We are in the midst of a global pandemic and as 2020 has rolled on, things continued to change week by week. But in the midst of that change there are a few constants you can count on at Aldersgate!

As you enter the Aldersgate Community virtually or in person the first thing can expect is to be warmly greeted by real people who are trying to following Jesus. You can expect meet people who are not perfect, gathered from all walks of life, professions, neighborhoods, religious backgrounds, to follow Jesus. You will find people authentically working together to welcome and respect all persons, valuing our differences and our unique gifts, and loving our neighbors as Jesus loves us.

You can expect to find a team of both paid and unpaid servant leaders dedicated to the mission of impacting lives and our community. You can expect an invitation to joining in that mission. There are opportunities both collectively individual children, youth, and adults can serve each week. Service both within the congregation and in the community.

Whether online or in person.  Since mid-march we have been online for virtual worship every Sunday at 9 a.m. via Facebook live and the churches website. If you miss or sleep in you can alway watch later in the day or the week.

On September 13, 2020 we started a new outdoor worship experience called Fresh Air. Fresh Air is an opportunity for those who are ready and healthy to worship in person, physically distanced. This service will happen at 10:15 a.m. weather permitting with singing and message from our pastor Rodney Whitfield.  Bring your mask, and a chair or blanket to sit on, and grab some fresh air as we worship the God of all creation.

Within our worship, we aim for intentional, concise, meaningful worship where the music is great and the message is both relevant and biblically based.

Aldersgate is not a club or a building, but a movement of people where individuals and families are motivated to live out their faith in practical ways. You can expect to find a place within the movement to share your unique gifts and talents, to impact lives and the community. You can expect to find people who want to share the journey of real life, to call on, support, and lean on in the good times and the hard times.

If any of this sounds like something you might be looking for in your life right now… give us an opportunity to show you the journey is better shared than alone.  Give us 5 weeks, so that you can meet people, worship, and serve with us and see for yourself the impACT we can have together.
