On Sunday, I preached about things breaking. Then on Monday morning, my coffee mug broke, and then other things began to break. 

When we make space, God works on us.  

Are you creating space for God?  Why or Why not?

What to do with Lent? No, I am not talking about Lint, the stray fibers from our clothing mixed with some dead skin cells, but Lent, the 6 week season in the Church leading up to Easter. 

In this series, we are looking at Biblical truths and how we can live a Greater Than life both in our personal lives and as a church. Last Sunday we looked at the truth:

WE > ME. 

Being generous with our time, whether with a sloth or with neighbor, friend, classmate, or colleague, has an impact on them. It shows respect, value, and love. When we are the beneficiaries of generosity, the natural response is to give thanks!

The Great Commission is important because it gives us our marching orders as a church, as modern day disciples.

It brought back up one of life’s big questions, “why do bad things happen to good people?” A question that we may have all asked. We probably wrestled with this question, trying to make sense out of the tragic and unbelievable.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?’”

Sometimes we need to look around us and stop to see the good all around us. If I look for and reflect upon the tangible ways we see hope, joy, peace, and love being shared with us and by us to others I can see it.
