Extravagant Generosity

Dear church family,

I am so proud to be pastor of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. I love getting to be part of a church who doesn’t just say they love their neighbors, but is a church that lives the ethic of love out in extravagant acts of generosity.

Today, I drove to Metrocrest Services to drop off over 1000 rolls of toilet paper collected by all of this last month. That’s right!!!! You went BIG and gave generosity to make sure the pantry at metrocrest services is packed this year.

Thank you, Aldersgate UMC, for extravagant generosity! Because of your generosity, we continue to break records and impact lives every week.

Since becoming your pastor, I have celebrated the record smashing number of Shoes collected for Buckner. As well, The GIVING GARDEN has broken record, after record, on the number of pounds of fresh and organic produce donated to our partners (Metrocrest Services, CCA) and Food Share. According to Terri Barrett, 2021 is trending towards another record breaking year.

Way to Go Aldersgate!

Within the last 2 months we have helped a couple who lost their home to eviction because of job losses during the pandemic.  When I first met them they were living in their car, this month they are in an apartment. Because of your generosity and our partnership with CCA, we can celebrate this couple experiencing grace, love, and mercy in the midst of deep chaos.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for your extravagant generosity and the impact that has already happened and will continue through the mission and ministry of Aldersgate UMC!

Please join us online or in person this Sunday as we continue our Bible sermon series. This week we will have a special guest preacher to unpack one of the Old Testament Prophets.

Blessings,
Rodney

Senior Pastor
